About eighty aspiring student writers gathered in TPS Dubai campus to take part in one day mix of talks and practical workshops organized by TPS Insights, the official school paper publication of The Philippine School. With the theme “Creating content quality amidst contrasting professional and citizen journalism,” the sessions were held on October 15, 2018. TPS Insights aims to provide an intensive training for students, by pushing them become skillful creators and intelligent consumers of digital media. The training moved the publication to an online format, with special features of animation and journalism commercial application. This year’s roster of speakers includes eight speakers, who are education and corporate professionals, with the special participation of TPS alumni. They were TPS English Language Teachers Charmaine S. Cordero for media ethics, Alfredo M. Esteban for news writing, Angela I. Galang for feature writing, Jenileen T. Borbe for editorial writing and Carol H. Salinas for plagiarism. Invited speakers from corporate industries include Director of Communications Maricel G. Centeno of Park Rotana hotel for journalism commercial application, TPS alumna Kristine M. Jimenez for journalism animation and TPS alumna Charissa M.
